Botto is an AI art generator that uses a combination of software models, including Stable Diffusion, VQGAN + CLIP, GPT-3, voting, and custom augmentations. These models are among the largest neural network architectures available and have analyzed millions of works of art, faces, animals, objects, images, artistic movements, poems, prose, essays, and more. Botto is therefore able to work with a very high amount of latent space, resulting in a vast variety of different styles and themes, without being limited to a single area.
Botto creates 350 art pieces per week, with each round comprising of individual art fragments. The community votes on these fragments, and the feedback is used to guide the generative algorithm in creating the next round of art pieces. Once a week, one art fragment named final art is put up for auction on SuperRare, and the auction proceeds are returned to the community. Botto completed its Genesis Period on October 14, 2022, and is now in its Fragmentation Period.
Botto mints and auctions one artwork per week on SuperRare, with Botto retaining 85% of the auction proceeds and SuperRare retaining 15% as an auction fee. The 10% commission from secondary market purchases is given to Botto's treasury, and an equivalent amount of $BOTTO is burned. The proceeds from ETH auctions are distributed to Active Rewards Contract, Retroactive Rewards, and the DAO treasury, with the equivalent of 20% of revenue in $BOTTO burned. The selected art fragment to be minted is chosen through community voting, and the auction takes place on a weekly basis, with the opening bid set at 10ETH.
